Abstract

Disclosed is an apparatus and a method for neutralizing ozone that may be emitted from various sources, such as electrophotographic copying machines. In one embodiment, there is used a configuration in the form of a pyramid (preferably truncated) as a fixed filter bed for neutralizing ozone produced by the corona charging stations in a-xerographic device. The pyramid device contains an ozone decomposition catalyst such as hopcalite which is a commerically available mate rial.
