Abstract

The standard Daisy print wheel commonly used in computer terminals, typewriters and printers comprises ninety-six (96) characters. In a machine not using all 96 characters, or in a machine where certain characters can be omitted, such characters can be changed to the bar code types familiarly known as Code 39, Codabar Code, Uniform Product Code (UPC), EAN, Code 11, 2 of 5 Code, Interleaved 2 of 5, as well as the AMES bar code. Thus, both alphanumerics, special characters and bar codes can be jointly printed on an output tag, label, etc.
