In magnetic reflex im aging, the energy density required for exposure and flash fusing are similar. Both functions may be accomplished by timesharing a common XENON pulsed arc source. The common energy source provides cost, weight and size advantages. The energy output may be switched from the exposure plates to the fusing platen by repositioning all or part of the reflector assembly.
