Abstract

For controlling the current dissipated in either the heat fusing unit of a xerographic copier/duplicator or other resistive lead, it is known to sense and control the voltage applied to the load. This disclosure describes a circuit which controls the power input to a fuser or other resistive load by sensing the current variations and adjusting the applied voltage accordingly. The current regulation system disclosed is shown in block form in the figure. In practice, a current transformer is used to sense a load current changes.
