Abstract

An improved labeling technique wherein articles 2 to be labeled are stacked on a feed table 4 is disclosed. Preprinted label stock is fed from a supply hopper 6 past an adhesive applicator head 8 whereat adhesive is applied to the back of the label stock. The stock is then advanced onto a male punch 10 which drives the label through female die 12 to cut the label to size and press the label onto the bottom article on table 4. Feed rolls 14 are provided to feed the labeled article from table 4 to an output tray 16.
