Abstract

Disclosed is an integral, thin vacuum source/air pressure source 1 for a document feeder, especially a feeder as shown in U.S. Patent No. 4,284,270 which has vacuum belts as well as an air knife. Pneumatically independent air vacuum and air pressure supplies therefor are provided from one integral source 1 here. The vacuum blower impeller or fan 2 and the pressure fan 3 are on a common, and commonly driven, shaft 4. These two fan wheels 2, 3 may be differently configured for different flow rates and in separate chambers with different outlets 5, 6 for pneumatic isolation but can share a common housing casting.
