Abstract

In the printing machine, air passes through a corona generating device forming ions. Under pressure, these charged air particles are forced through the corona generating device past a grounding device. The grounding device grounds selective ions. Those ions which are not grounded are advanced onto a copy paper forming an information pattern thereon. The charged area on the copy paper is then exposed to ink of an opposite polarity. The ink is then deposited on the copy sheet in image configuration.
