Abstract

A dual wheel caster, as shown in the drawing, provides a particularly low profile design for support of an electrophotographic printing machine. As shown, wheel 10 is mounted in a cantilevered fashion on frame 12. A leaf spring 14 has one end thereof permanently attached to frame 12. The other end thereof engages axle 16 having wheel 10 mounted thereon. Axle 16 is mounted in a slot 18 in supports 20. When a vertical shock occurs, e.g., when the machine is dropped during transit, the leaf spring deflects and absorbs the energy of the shock preventing damage to the printing machine.
