Abstract

An original document registration and platen feeding apparatus is disclosed that employs a side registration edge and an upper curved guide plate 2, overlying a spaced lower curved bottom plate 3 and located adjacent a front registration stop 4 which comprises feed-in rollers. The curved plates 2 and 3 increase the document beam strength by curving the document. The document is fed into the curved tray 3, urged against both the side guide 1 and the front registration area 4 by a flexible and foraminous drive roller 5 which subsequently delivers the document to the document exposure station (not shown) in the path of the illustrated arrow. Figure 1 is a top view and Figure 2 is a perspective side view of the apparatus.
