This disclosure relates to release agent management (RAM) systems and in particular to a combination wick and blade structure for metering release agent fluids such as silicone oil onto a soft roll fuser.

As illustrated in the figure, the combination blade and wick RAM system 10 comprises a conventional wicking element 12 and a pair of perforated rigid memers 14 (only one shown) between which the wicking member 12 is sandwiched. The rigid members may be fabricated from a metal such as steel, the perforations therein allowing oil to pass therethrough to be absorbed by the wick. The combination blade and wick serves to convey silicone oil from a release agent sump 16 to a soft roll 18.
