Abstract

A fuser roll for electrostatographic reproducing apparatus having a thin surface layer 10 of a fluorosilicone elastomer on a thermally conductive substrate 12 is illustrated in the Figure. The substrate may be a metal reinforced with a roughened flame sprayed surface 14. Optionally, the elastomer layer may be filled with low surface energy fillers such as Teflon or perfluorographite. An additional option is to blend a fluorosilicone oil or other release agents into the elastomer.
