Abstract

High pressure air guns are employed to polish equipment which requires daily cleaning. Generally, an air gun produces a flow of air which, if directed toward an operator, can cause personal injury. In order to overcome this problem, the air gun has a back pressure valve incorporated therein to automatically vent a pressure build-up. Hence, the pressure in the air gun is automatically relieved in the event that it is directed toward an individual. This safety feature enables the air gun to comply with OSHA regulations.
