Abstract

To uniformly dispense makeup toner into the sump of the developer housing for a xerographic type copying or reproduction machine, a hollow toner dispensing tube (2) is provided having a succession of holes (3) extending in a row axially along the length of the tube, the holes (3) facing downwardly in the direction of the developer sump upon installation of the tube in the developer housing. A rotating auger (4) within the tube (2) serves to convey makeup toner axially along the tube from an inlet side (5) toward the tube opposite end (6).
