Abstract

Disclosed are toner compositions containing resin particles, pigment particles, and charge enhancing additives of the formula: R1 + \ R2 N - R4 PI / wherein R1, R2, R3 and Rq are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl substituents, and substituted alkyl groups; and A is an anion. More specifically, there is selected as a charge enhancing additive those components wherein R1 and R2 are stearyl substituents, R3 is a methyl substituent, R4 is an ethyl group, and A is ethyl sulfate. Examples of resin particles include styrene acrylates, styrene methacry la tes, and styrene butadienes; and pigment particles are represented by carbon black, magnetites, and colored pigments inclusive of cyan, magenta, yellow, red, blue, green, or mixtures thereof.
