Abstract

In drawing Figures 1 and 2, an incandescent illumination assembly 3 for a copying or printing machine is depicted which can be easily removed from the lamp housing of the machine as a single unit for cleaning or servicing or repair. The illumination assembly 3 comprises a reflector tube 5, an incandescent lamp 7, and an optical filter 8 that are mounted together on a holder 10.

In drawing Figures 1 and 2, an incandescent illumination assembly 3 for a copying or printing machine is depicted which can be easily removed from the lamp housing of the machine as a single unit for cleaning or servicing or repair. The illumination assembly 3 comprises a reflector tube 5, an incandescent lamp 7, and an optical filter 8 that are mounted together on a holder 10.

Holder 10 has a base 11 with a slot-like channel 12 extending longitudinally thereof into which optical filter 8 is slidably received. Base 11 of holder 10 has a series of axial exposure apertures or butterfly slots 15 of predetermined configuration. A pair of spring clips 16 are provided at each end of base 11 for releasably gripping lamp 7 at the lamp ends.
