Abstract

Figure 1 shows a full length view of a corotron wire 12 within a semi-cylindrical shield 14. In order to damp a tendency of the wire to oscillate, a block 16 of a foam material is positioned as shown in Figures 1 and 2 along the length of the shield. A slit is made in the block to accomodate the wire.
