Abstract

A ultraviolet bar code is applied to each copy sheet specifying its" weight and size. A ultraviolet light and a bar code scanner is mounted in the tray supporting the stack of copy sheets in the reproducing machine. As each copy sheet is advanced from the tray, the size and weight of the copy sheet is read and the parameters of the stations of the reproducing machine suitably adjusted.
