Abstract

A high concentration of toner is stored in a cylindrical housing. The base of the housing is mounted slidably in the cylinder and driven by a piston mounted on a threaded rod secured by a nut. Rotation of the rod moves the piston compressing the toner and dispensing it from the exit end of the cylinder. The number of screw rotations is proportional to the amount of toner dispensed from the cylinder.
