Abstract

Figure 1 shows a platen corner which has been adapted to enable a book copying mode. a flexible, articulating registration guide member 10 can be moved from a horizontal position (shown dotted) aligned with the platen 12 and used to provide a registration edge) to the lowered position shown where a book 14 is to be copied. The book is placed on the edge of the platen with the pages falling freely away from the spine and supported by the guide 10.
