Abstract

Some electrophotographic printers also have the capability of making xerographic copies. In this case, it would be advantageous to be able to distinguish the finished jobs as to whether they were produced from the printer function or from the copier function. The use of a copy job banner sheet may be used.

Some electrophotographic printers also have the capability of making xerographic copies. In this case, it would be advantageous to be able to distinguish the finished jobs as to whether they were produced from the printer function or from the copier function. The use of a copy job banner sheet may be used.

A banner sheet will be printed with distinct markings such that the user may easily and quickly identify the job as a copy job as opposed to a print job or a fax received job. The System Administrator may have the capability to turn the copy banner sheet option on or off.

A dedicated banner sheet tray may be selected and this tray will deliver a banner sheet for a copy job. It would be of further use if the banner sheet for the copy job was of a different color than the color of the copy job thus making it even more distinguishable.
