Abstract

A Universal FlatnesdCurl Laser Inspection Gauge for dynamic mechanical characterization of organic multilayer belted photoreceptor devices is disclosed. The test fixture consists of: a laser sensor mounted on a linear drive motor; a servomotor coupled to a Low Lateral Force (LLF) drive roller to drive the photoreceptor belt under the laser beam; and a personal computer for controlling motor operations and for analyzing the resultant signals. The gauge measures the distance of the photoreceptor from the sensor head.The gauge may be used with a variety of different photoreceptor belt sizes, is highly accurate and economical to assemble and operate.
