Abstract

A cover device for use in electrophotographic printing machines enabling output paper tray bypass and transport to a remote finisher is disclosed. The design of the cover device combines upper paper path baffles and top covers 5 of the bypass transport 1 into an integral assembly as shown in Figure 1A and 1B. This configuration allows for quick and easy access to all potential paper jam areas in the bypass. As shown in Figures 2A and 2B the top paper path bames 7 and top idler rolls 6 are incorporated into the cover of the bypass assembly.
