Abstract

Multiple charge control additive toners with improved xerographic performance and a method for making are disclosed. Toner compositions for use in electrophotographic printers and copiers having optimized charging properties, for example, triboelectric charge level, charge polarity, charge distribution profile and admix rate, may be obtained by formulating a plurality of charge control additives into or onto the toner surface to adjust and maintain specific toner charging properties. Thus, one or more charge control additives may be added to ensure rapid admix (charging rate). Charge control additives may be added to control other parameters important to toner xerographic performance, for example, triboelectric charge level, humidity sensitivity, conductivity, shelf life, thermal stability, and the like. A method for making is achieved by performing multiple charge control additive addition steps as described, for example, in U.S. Patent 4,904,762 to Xerox Corporation.

Multiple charge control additive toners with improved xerographic performance and a method for making are disclosed.
