Abstract

A method to improve color copy and transparency quality of electrophotographic prints is disclosed. The method comprises applying a thin coating of plasticizer film to the surface of color prints and transparencies after fusing of toner to a copy sheet. The film coating increases gloss properties of color prints and transparencies and improves projection efficiencies of color transparencies. The method reduces image cracking and degradation from copy sheet creasing. The plasticizer elasticity may be matched with, or greater than, the elasticity of the toner for improved durability.
