Abstract

Tolerance between a photoreceptor belt and developer roll is critical in a copying environment. A way to accomplish an interface distance between the photoreceptor belt and developer roll of less than 2 mm is to use two rollers that are pinned to a link and which float on top of the developer roll end cap. A bearing for a backup roll rest on top of the two rollers. The only critical dimension with this system is the distance between the rollers which can be controlled by tight tolerance. The overall tolerance of previous systems can be reduced in half with this system.
