Abstract

With the Xerox@ 2510 Engineering Copier, illustrated in outline form by reference numeral 12 in the figure, the system user is required to manually feed a pre-cut sheet of paper into input slot 14 in the direction indicated by arrow 16. Moreover, the pre-cut sheet may be supplied from cutter 20, which normally supplies the sheet to the user, via supply slot 22, at a preselected length selected by the user.

The present disclosure is directed toward an automatic paper feed system, 30, that is adapted to accept a sheet of paper from supply slot 22 and feed it in roper registration to the input slot, 14, of copier 12. Use of automatic paper feed system 30 would eliminate any awkwardness that a user might encounter in trying to pre-feed the copy sheet while holding an original which will be fed into the scanning station, 18, to be copied.
