Abstract

Disclosed is an improved toner flow control system that facilitates a smoother more efficient flow of toner. Generally in a xerographic reproduction machine of the kind shown in the Figure, toner is cleaned off photoreceptor 3 using cleaner assembly 4. The cleaner assembly includes cleaner roll 6 that picks up residual toner 7 from the photoreceptor and toner roll 8 that attracts toner from the cleaner roll. Once toner is cleaned from the toner roll with blade 10, toner exit auger (or reclaim auger) 12 carries used toner to toner catch housing 14 for recycling or disposal. Proposed is the addition of low noise snap-on vibration devices 16 and 17 that attach along toner exit auger tube 15. The vibration devices agitate the toner inside the tube so that the auger more efficiently transports toner away from the cleaner assembly through the auger tube to the toner catch housing.
