Abstract

Proposed is a device that allows the shape of a toner bottle to change as it is being emptied. Gravity is relied upon to empty a toner bottle that is resident in an electrophotographic printing machine. Since the opening to a developer housing is less than the width of the toner bottle, the toner bottle is normally funnel shaped. The sides of the bottle are typically steep to allow smooth and complete flow of toner out of the bottle. However, steep sides create unusable space that decreases the toner storage ca acity. The capacity of the bottle can

Each plate 12 is interiorly mounted to bottle 10 on opposite ends of an opening 14 and may be loaded by means of a tensioned spring at the respective pivot point
