Abstract

A dynamically monitoring output system for reading bar code fonts on copy sheets is disclosed. The system of the present disclosure consist of a single or multiple bar code scanners incorporated into a printer. The bar code scannners are mounted near a sheet output tray. In operation, bar code scannners monitor the bar codes on the outputted sheets. If the printer has a problem, such as bead carry which breaks a line in the bar code, the scanner signals to the printer to purge bad pages or to shutdown, if the problem presist.
