Abstract

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for achieving copiedprinter communication and control over electrician power lines. Echelon Corp. markets devices that enable electrical equipment to communicate with another electrical entity over or through standard electric power lines and connections. Thus, with an Echelon Corp. Model PLT-10 Transceiver Module and a PLC-10 Control Module it is possible to connect one or more different electrical devices over electrical power lines and thereby enable communication and control thereof. The disclosed system enables elimination of dedicated and costly separate communication and control equipment and further enables the establishment of inexpensive mechanical control and communication networks.
