Abstract

Ri/Ci characterization method and circuit apparatus suitable for differential signaling I/O’s. Measurements of DQ pairs are arranged in the two-port configuration when the bias is on. Decompose each two-port S-parameter into mixed mode. Fit the odd-mode to a model using transmission line model for the package trace. Measure the open socket and derive the socket model first. Optimize the rest of the parameters.
