Abstract

This disclosure teaches the use of a rigid large opening screen system to prevent, for example, paper debris and light small objects from being sucked up the chemical fumehoods. This system consists of an "L" shaped piece of hardware mesh cloth of about 1/2" x 1/2" mesh, galvanized and placed in a lower air intake area of a fume hood, clamped in place between the adjustable damper and the back of the fume hood.
