Abstract

Successful photoreceptor (P/R) tracking can be difficult to accomplish under different circumstances, such as materials used in the design of photoreceptor modules and the effects of these materials under different environmental conditions. Some materials overheat and expand under hot environments creating a drag and an increase in friction between P/R belt and P/R backup module. The use of low friction material like nylon fabric over skid plates has facilitated successful photoreceptor tracking under varying environmental conditions.
