Abstract

Proposed is a blade cleaner having improved reliability by using two blades. The first blade is of a soft material and performs nearly 100 percent of the cleaning. The second blade consists of a harder material and is positioned at a shallow angle to clean toner left behind by defects in the first material. The second blade operates as a spots blade at very low toner levels.
