latch 30 mates with a frame member 10. A flexible area 31 on latch 30 allows the part to be pinched and snapped into position, making assembly into frame 10 an easy task. The plastic latch 30 replaces the functions of a separate mounting pin and spring, wherein the spring function is provided by tab 32, and area 33 catches the ink carriage. Latch 30 is molded from a plastic resin having good spring characteristics and good lubrication for the pivoting action.
