sided adhesive gasket that is critical to the function of the printhead. As shown in the accompanying figure, protective web 2 is composed of a primary web 10 having fluid seals 12 laminated thereon and a secondary web 16 having embossed edges 18 to form an interleaf. The fluid seals 12 have a physical gap above them by way of a bridge created by the embossed track edges when web 16 is combined with web 10. When webs 10 and 16 are rolled together on reel 20, the fluid seals on web 10 are isolated from physical contact with each other to avoid damage on critical surfaces and edges. The protective interleaf web 2 is inexpensive and provides an additional benefit of allowing air space above the parts to vent process solvents used to form them. Parts yields have risen from 50 to 100 percent with the addition of web 16 to web 10.
