Abstract

Proposed is an easy to use cleaning device for flushing away contaminates in color printheads of a thermal ink jet printer. As shown in the accompanying figure, the cleaning device comprises a cleaning fluid container 20 having a plurality of fluid connectors 22 that dock with intake ports 18 on printhead 10. In its simplest form, the cleaning fluid is composed of an ink vehicle without any dye or additives that are solids at room temperature.
