Abstract

Proposed is a method for producing a correctly ordered single flash output from electrophotographic printing systems using a dual flash mode. This output is required for third part finishing devices. The proposed method consists of directing every other sheet to a duplex tray and then re-feeding these sheets through the system (in a non-imaging mode) after all the images for two sets have been completed. The method improves productivity over using a single flash mode and does not require additional hardware.
