illustrates the installation of an adapter housing 10 over a staple cartridge 30. The housing 10 includes a plurality of living hinges 12 and a latch 14 that form a cartridge enclosure. A pair of opposing side windows 20 position a cartridge lid 32 in housing 10. A front window 24 accommodates the passage of a cartridge nose assembly 34 through housing
10. A pair of rails 28 provide means for guiding the staples exiting from cartridge 30.
