Disclosed is a color transparency with a specifc coating which, after imaging in a color copier, provides an inexpensive, scratch resistant decal for molded plastic parts. Figure 1 illustrates a decal 30 ready for transfer.

Figure 2 is a side view of the Figure 1 decal illustrating the formation thereof. In Figure 2, the decal 30 is comprised of a sheet 10 of transparent carrier material coated with transfer medium 12. The transfer medium 12 further includes images 14 of text or graphics fused thereon. A transparent color layer 18 partially covers the images 14 and a final transparent top coat 20 completes the decal assembly.
