Abstract

Proposed is a fured position finisher stacker having a spring loaded tray. As shown in the accompanying figure, stacker 10 comprises a selectively pivotal guide 18, and a tray 12 controlled by spring 14. Guide 18 is positioned to temporarily extend the copy sheet path when small size paper 16 (e.g., B5, Letter) is being delivered to stack 17. When larger sized paper (e.g., A3, 11 x 17) is stacked, guide 18 swings downward and is no longer part of the path. A length A of guide 18 is determined by the gross difference between the small and large paper sizes. The spring loaded tray avoids elevating the floor of stacker
