Abstract

Referring to Figure 1 a digital viewer 10 is shown for a copier or print machine including a soft copy or graphical representation 20 of a print or copy job. The graphical representation or proof 20 of the printer copy job may thus be viewed on the digital viewer or screen 10. A grid 30 is preferably positioned around the proof 20 and is used to verify the proper placement of the proof 20 on the platen of the copier. The proof 20 digitally represents the copy of the document on the platen to be printed. The proof 20 resembles a final hard copy of the document without printing and discarding a hard copy proof.
