Abstract

Referring initially to Figure 1, a molded plastic push clamp 10 is shown. The push clamp 10 includes an arcuate portion 12 including an opening 14 therein defined by diameter DC. Extending from the arcuate portion 12 are fust and second legs 16 and 18. The push clamp 10 may be made of any suitable plastic material with sufficient resiliency to permit first leg 16 and second leg 18 to be separated from each other sufficiently to assemble the push clamp 10.

Referring now to Figure 2A, the plastic push clamp 10 is shown installed in a top cover 22 of a machine, for example a copy machine. The top cover 22 is placed upon a frame 24. The push clamp 10 is used to secure the top cover 22 to the frame 24. A post 26 extends from the top cover 22 and passes through opening 28 of the frame 24. While the top cover 22 and the post 26 may be made of any suitable durable material, for example plastic or a metal, preferably the top cover 22 and post 26 are integrally molded from a plastic material.
