Abstract

Disclosed is the use of a standard Read Only Memory (ROM) card with embedded access codes as a means for providing secure access to electrophotographic printing machines. The ROM card security access key contains at least one access code allowing a machine to make copies. The device provides for a much simpler alternative to an auditron.
