Abstract

Disclosed is an inputloutput device mounting platform for electrophotographic printing machines having devices attached thereto that must be rolled or pivoted away in order to access a paper path or to service the machine. The accompanying figure shows the inputloutput device mounting platform 12 attached to printing machine 10. Mounting platform 12 consists of a base frame 14 mounted on casters 22 forming a holding means to which an input device 18 and output device 16 are staged. The mounting platform 12 connects to base frame 14 by way of ball slides 24 allowing the platform to slide away from the base by a distance 20. Thus, the platform 12 allows devices 16 and 18 to be separated from the machine 10 with minimal effort regardless of floor covering. Additionally, the platform provides flexibility of moving devices 16 and 18, and the machine 10 as a complete assembly or as individual units.
