Tape format conversion tool

The tool will help customers to convert between different tape management systems.

In many cases unloaded data base records are created with an intermediate format where each record includes all needed information for the future conversion process. The information is known in different records with different format, e .g. some information is stored in a volume record and some information is stored in a data set/file record. The problem for a conversion is that the volume information is not on the same place as the data set /file information, but until the conversion sometimes we need both information at the same time .

To make the conversion very easy an extended conversion record is created which to include volume information and data set /file information on one place. To do so we will use the volume information in front and expand this information with the matching data set/file information. If more than one file is found pointing to a volume, more than one extended conversion record is created for this volume . Example:
Input
VOL001 FILE1 FILE2 FILE3 FILE4
VOL002 FILE1 FILE2
VOL003 FILE1
VOL004 FILE1
VOL005
VOL006 FILE1 FILE2

Result VOL001!!FILE1 VOL001!!FILE2 VOL001!!FILE3 VOL001!!FILE4 VOL002!!FILE1 VOL002!!FILE2 VOL003!!FILE1 VOL004!!FILE1 VOL005 VOL006!!FILE1 VOL007!!FILE2
....

The mapping of each extended conversion record for one kind of conversion is the same, so that it is very easy to get the needed information for a correct c...
