DESCRIPTION

This facial sunscreen gel is water resistant and alcohol free.  AMAZE® XT polymer provides the thickening in this formulation while DERMACRYL® LT polymer provides water resistance.  HYDROVANCE moisturizing agent improves formulation aesthetics and provides moisturization.

PROCEDURE

1.      Phase A: Premix the Neo Heliopan AP, Neo Heliopan Hydro and the water. Add NaOH and mix well.

2.      Add the Benzophenone-4 in to the Phase A solution.

3.      Phase B: Disperse AMAZE XT in water.

4.      Phase C: Create a slurry by mixing Butylene Glycol and DERMARCYL LT. Heat the water and TEA of Phase C to 80°C.  Add the Butylene Glycol/DERMACRYL LT slurry to the water/TEA at 80°C and mix for 20 minutes. 

5.      Add Phase A to Phase B.

6.      Add Phase C to Phase AB.

7.      Add Phase D to Phase ABC, once temperature of Phase ABC is less than 40°C.
