Invention Abstract Illumination of the water stream provides an indication of the fill water temperature. Cold water will be blue, hot water will be red, and warm water will be orange.

How the invention works The fill funnel will be made of transparent material, with blue and red LED's mounted on the fill funnel. The red led will be electrically connected to the hot water valve and the blue led will be electrically connected to the cold water valve. When the hot water valve is turned on the red led will turn on. This will transmit red light to the fill funnel. The fill funnel will act as a light pipe and transmit the red light to the water stream. The water stream will illuminate red. When the cold water valve is turned on the blue led will turn on. This will transmit blue light to the fill funnel. The fill funnel will act as a light pipe and transmit the blue light to the water stream. The water stream will illuminate blue. When the hot and cold water valves are turned on the red and blue led will turn on. This will transmit red and blue light to the fill funnel. The fill funnel will act as a light pipe and transmit the red and blue light to the water stream. The water stream will illuminate orange due the mixing of the red and blue light. This invention may be implemented with a single color LED as an alternate implementation. This invention may be implemented with incandescent lights as an alternate implementation. This invention may use a separate power source to instead of the water valves to illuminate the water stream. This invention may use AC power, a diode, and a current limit resistor to power the LED. This invention may use DC power and a current limit resistor to power the LED. This invention may use a separate light pipe inserted in the fill funnel to illuminate the water stream. This invention may directly insert the light source directly into the water stream to illuminate the water stream.
