Abstract

What is proposed is a blower control algorithm that adjusts the speed of the blower via a microprocessor using a temperature signal input to maintain a constant Inlet air temperature setpoint. The control algorithm will allow the microprocessor to adapt to the ducting pressure losses in the home as well as various clothes load sizes and increase or decrease airflow accordingly. The result is constant, precisely controlled heating of the clothes load.
