Logic Cover

The disclosed logic cover helps to direct the air that is needed to cool the logic and PC cards. The cover is designed to snap on or off of the logic/PC frame which allows easy access to the PC cards. Access to the PC cards can be done before and/or after the logic/PC frame is mounted in the main frame of the 5363.

Fig. 1 shows an opening in the side of the logic/PC frame 1 that allows access to the logic cards 10. Fan 11 pulls the air past the PC cards 12 and logic cards 10 along air paths 5 and 6. When the logic cover 4 is snapped in place on the logic/PC frame 1, air paths 5 and 6 can be controlled enough so that fan 11 can properly cool logic cards 10 and PC cards 12.

The Logic Cover 4 can be installed or removed from the logic/PC frame 1 whether the logic/PC frame 1 is assembled and tested as a unit by itself (see Fig.
1), or installed in the main frame 7 (see Fig. 2).

edge opening 9 of the logic/PC frame 1. Push the logic cover handles 3 toward the logic/PC frame 1 until the logic cover snaps 2 snap into place in the logic/PC frame 1.

Fig. 4 shows an edge view of the logic cover 4 snapped into place in the logic/PC frame 1. To remove the logic cover 1, pull the logic cover handles 3 away from the logic/PC frame 1. Logic cover snaps 2 are designed to release from the logic/frame 1 through the use of an an...
